Azure Blob Storage

Note. You can use any photo hosting service to add a small number of images, such as wampi, imgbb, ImageShack, or imgur. This way you can quickly get direct links to your images to add them to the task file or instructions.

Create a storage account

  1. Open the Azure main page and click in the top left corner.

  2. Select Storage accounts.

  3. On the top panel, click  Create.

  4. On the Basic tab, select the subscription for the new storage account.

  5. Enter the name of the resource group and your account.

  6. Select the region closest to your performers. For example, for performers from Germany: Region → (Europe) West Central Germany.

  7. Leave other fields unchanged. Click Review + create.

  8. Wait till it opens. Click Go to resource.

Create a container.

  1. In the Data storage section in the left menu, select Containers.

  2. On the top panel, click  Container.

  3. Enter the container name.

  4. In the Public access level field, select Container.
    Note. Files will be accessible to anyone with a link. We recommend using hashed file names to keep your files secure. You can generate hashes using online tools (for example, Online MD5 Hash Generator). Learn more about hashing.
  5. Click Create.

Note. You can set up the lifetime of files in the container so that they are automatically deleted after a specified number of days. Learn more.

Upload your files to the container.

  1. To open the container, click on its name.

  2. On the top panel, click  Send.

  3. Upload files

    Select files on your device.

    Upload files to the folder.

    In the Send to folder field in the Additional section, enter the name of the folder. If the folder doesn't exist, it will be created.

    Attention. The name can't contain spaces. Files can't be accessed by link.
  4. Click Send.

Copy links

  1. Select the uploaded file and copy its URL from the Review section.

  2. All file links are created by the same template.

    Links look like this:

    https://<storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/<container>/<file-name>

    The link in the folder looks like this:

    https://<storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/<container>/<file-path>/<file-name>

    Note.

    To quickly get links to other files, copy the link to one of them and replace <file-name> with the names of other files.

  3. In theTSV file with the tasks, paste the links into the column that matches the input data field to which this data is passed.

    For example, if you want to use images in the image field, specify the file links in the INPUT:image column:
