This talk is about the humans behind the technology. Crowd workers are rarely mentioned, yet they are key to making AI safe, trustworthy, and fair. We will discuss how data science can be augmented with effective crowdsourcing to make AI solutions more relevant and adaptive. We'll look at three fundamental studies that illustrate how humans affect the development of modern AI, and outline a path to the future.

Dr. Ivan Yamshchikov

Head of Ecosystem Strategy, TolokaDr. Ivan Yamshchikov worked as a data analyst at Yandex, was an artificial intelligence evangelist at ABBYY, and a post-doc at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig. Ivan is the author of a number of scientific publications at leading conferences on NLP. Currently he is a lecturer at Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and a visiting professor at the University of Lisbon.Profile link
