AI governance at scale

As organizations are looking to embed AI into every aspect of their operations, this talk will cover strategies at the intersection of technical and policy controls to enable organizations to adopt AI safely at scale.

Trust and safety challenges of AI-generated images

This talk will cover some core safety challenges associated with AI-generated images broadly, such as difficulties with content moderation, photorealism and adversarial abuse, open sourcing, and biases in AI-generated images. We'll also touch on solutions and mitigations such as watermarking, using safer training data, and assessing model capabilities respective to different kinds of content.

Panel discussion on Responsible AI

Experts from Microsoft, OpenAI and Google will answer questions about responsible AI and share best practices on how to drive your business with safe and ethical AI. The discussion will be moderated by a representative from Toloka, with time for questions from the audience at the end.

Rachel Azafrani is an AI ethicist and international advocate for the responsible development and deployment of emerging technologies. She is an advisor to international organizations, governments, the Fortune 100, research institutes, and publications such as The Economist. Rachel holds an MSc in Social Science of the Internet with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a BSFS magna cum laude in International Political Economy from Georgetown University.

Mona M previously worked for Amazon Web Services as a Senior AI/ML Specialist Solutions Architect. She is a highly skilled IT professional with more than 10 years of experience in AI/ML. The author of two books, she is also a frequent speaker at multiple conferences such as ISMB 2022, AWS Re:Invent 2020,2019,2018 and AWS DC Summit.

Rosmi heads the Customer Success team at Toloka, where she works to ensure that all Toloka clients are getting as much value as they can out of the product. She is also a seasoned Product Manager experienced with e-commerce, ed-tech, and marketing platforms. She has a background in Information Technology and Data Science, with an MBA from Nanyang Technological University.

Bilva Chandra currently works at OpenAI on Product Safety for DALL-E, OpenAI's AI-image generator. Her primary line of work focuses on how to scale enforcement and detection guided by content policy and determine mitigations for product safety gaps. Prior to OpenAI, Bilva worked on LinkedIn's threat intelligence team, focusing on disinformation and influence operations investigations, and also had the opportunity to develop content policies on election integrity and dangerous organizations. She also serves as the Global Ambassador for Digital Peace Now, a non-profit organization that aims to increase awareness about cyberattacks and promote digital peace. Bilva's pieces on AI have been published by the Modern Warfare Institute and the Strategy Bridge in the past, and she has also spoken about AI, content moderation, and disinformation on several panels/events (Georgetown Security Studies Review, US Army Mad Scientist Initiative, Zignal Labs panel, etc). She obtained her MA from the Georgetown Security Studies Program (SSP), concentrating in Technology & Security, and her BS from Georgetown's Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics with a Certificate in Diplomatic Studies.
