Artificial neural network (ANN) is a computing system with an architecture inspired by the biological brains of living organisms. Similarly to biological neural networks, ANNs consist of a number of interconnected units called artificial neurons or nodes. The nodes are aggregated into layers, usually containing an input layer, one or more hidden layers, and an output layer. Signals travel from the input layer), to the output layer, possibly after traversing the layers multiple times.
