Registration

Registering in Toloka

Most clients currently need a Yandex ID with a linked and confirmed phone number to register in Toloka. If you don't have a Yandex ID, sign up for one.

Restriction
  • If you're already registered as a Toloker, you'll need another Yandex ID.

  • You can only register one requester account and one Toloker account per phone number in each version of Toloka.

Once you have a Yandex ID,

  1. Go to the Toloka website and click the Log in link in the upper-right corner.

  2. Choose Log in as a Requester button and enter your Yandex ID credentials.

  3. At the Tell us a little about yourself page, the system will invite you to enter some additional information (email address used for notifications, company name, country of origin, and some other optional information).

  4. When done, accept the Toloka Terms of Use and click Get started.

Social authorization registration (currently in beta)

Some Toloka clients have an option to register and access Toloka using social authorization. If you are one of these clients and registered in Toloka using Yandex ID, please migrate to the new social authorization scheme.

To register in Toloka as a client and post tasks for Tolokers, you need to have one of the following supported social accounts:

  • Google
  • Facebook
  • GitHub
  • Microsoft
Note

Depending on your current location the list of the available social accounts might differ and include or exclude some of the social services.

Some of the clients can also authorize in Toloka using SSO authentication. Read the Toloka SSO authentication section which contains the detailed description of this method and its restrictions.

Where should I register?

Toloka has two versions: production and sandbox. You need to register in each one separately to get access to them:

  • Production version

This is your usual workspace in Toloka. Here you create projects, upload tasks for Tolokers, and get results.

  • Sandbox

This is a place to test your projects and tasks. It can be useful to test complex projects before launching them. Learn more about working in the sandbox.

    Warning

Starting March 2023, new clients get access to Toloka sandbox upon request. Please contact our support team describing the projects you plan to use the sandbox for, types of tasks you plan to upload, the approximate number of trusted Tolokers who are going to complete tasks for you there, and other details.

The registration and sign-in processes are similar for both versions.

Authorizing in Toloka with social services (currently in beta)
